You must be at least 18 years old. We ask for your date of birth once and lock any account that is under 18. Lying about your age gets your account removed.

Shoot Your Shot is a game for practicing conversation. We don't match people for dating, we don't run background checks, and we don't arrange meetups. What you do after a game is up to you.

Identities and Instagram handles are typed in by users and are not verified. We never check Instagram. A handle someone drops may not belong to them. Be careful who you trust and never send money or personal information.

No contact info in chat: no phone numbers, handles, usernames, links, or other ways to reach you.

No explicit sexual content, threats, hate, harassment, spam, or scams.

Follow The Rulebook. We can remove messages, end games, and ban accounts that break the rules, at our discretion.

Only use your own Instagram handle. Each handle can belong to one account, and it can only be changed once every 30 days.

Pretending to be someone else, or dropping a handle that isn't yours, gets your account banned. Report it with the “Impersonation or fake IG” reason.

Report a player from the chat menu or the results screen. Reports block the player for you and send us a copy of that chat for review. For anything urgent or illegal, contact local authorities.

Messages are checked automatically for contact info and harmful content before they are delivered. Some messages may be blocked by mistake. That's part of the game.

The service is a beta and is provided as is. It may go down, lose data, or change. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what other users say or do.

You can delete your account anytime from your Profile. Reports about your account may be kept for safety.
